Deaths of migrants, UN: We are facing a crisis of solidarity




The United Nations has sought to do more to prevent the deaths of migrants who seek to enter Europe.
After some cases the coast of Libya and one in Austria, killing hundreds of refugees, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called for a collective political response in order to avoid a "crisis of solidarity".
"A large part of the people who take these trips arduous and dangerous are refugees fleeing from countries like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. The international community must show greater determination in resolving conflicts and problems that force people to leave their countries, "he said.
Ban urged States to consider all asylum cases and not force people to return to countries where they have gone, if they endanger life. According to him, everything must be done to avoid a "crisis of solidarity".
He also asked to become more attacking networks of traffickers, who are responsible for hundreds of lives lost.
