There are some good ideas in this comedy about three hapless American businessmen hoping to clinch a deal during a trip to Berlin, but probably the best idea is to give it a miss.
It starts with vague promise but rapidly degenerates into a puerile mess, flailing for laughs like a ten-year-old class clown desperate for popularity.
So he leaves to set up his own firm, hiring two losers, borderline moronic Mike (Dave Franco), and jaded, unhappy Timothy (Tom Wilkinson), and off they set for Berlin, where among other unlikely adventures they wind up in a gay club in which . . . let’s just say that the list of members has ambiguous connotations.
Franco in particular does his considerable best with some desperately crass material, but Wilkinson, an actor with such heft, looks faintly embarrassed throughout, as well he might.
