Taraji P. Henson rocks LBD for Empire Q&A where she claimed her character Cookie was everyone's 'spirit animal'

Taraji P. Henson rocked a classic LBD for Fox's Empire Q&A at The Grove mall in Los Angeles on Friday night.
The 44-year-old Oscar nominee looked fit in a halter mini-dress and studded stilettos selected by her stylist Wouri Vice.
The Person of Interest actress - who plays Loretha 'Cookie' Lyon - accessorised with a large ring, hoop earrings, and lavender lipstick.

For her role as the ex-con turned momager, Taraji was nominated for best actress in a drama at the Critics Choice Awards, which air this Sunday on A&E.
When Henson first read the 'crazy' script, she knew Cookie would offend people due to her outlandish behaviour.
'I was like, "Oh my god, she's crazy. They're going to hate her. She beats her son with a broom!' the Washington, D.C.-born beauty told the audience.

'At the core of her is family, the love for her family. She is family first. And every decision that she makes, every one-liner that comes out her mouth is truth and I think that's why people gravitate towards her because they can trust her.'
Taraji continued: 'If we could all be so bold to live in our now - and that's what Cookie does. She's not afraid to speak her truth. We've all learned in society how to manipulate when asked a question. We stop, we breathe: "How do I be politically correct and answer this question?"
'Well, you know, that's BS. And Cookie doesn't operate from a place like that and I think that's why she's people's spirit animals.
